Tithes

The commandment of tithing was changed!
*Heb 7:5 “And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a COMMANDMENT to TAKE TITHES OF THE PEOPLE ACCORDING TO THE LAW, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham”.
*Heb 7: 11-12 “If therefore perfection were by the LEVITICAL PRIESTHOOD, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? FOR THE PRIESTHOOD BEING CHANGED, THERE IS MADE OF NECESSITY A CHANGE ALSO OF THE LAW!
*Heb 7: 17-18 “For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. For there is verily a DISANNULLING of the (COMMANDMENT) going before FOR THE WEAKNESS AND UNPROFITABLENESS THEREOF”.
The word (COMMANDMENT) is Strong’s # 1785 it means a prescribed rule in accordance with which a thing is done. Priests that received tithes of the people were weak and unprofitable.
Christ proved their weakness and unprofitableness!
*Luke 10: 30-37 “And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. And likewise a LEVITE, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. But a certain SAMARITAN, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, HE HAD COMPASSION ON HIM, And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And on the morrow when he departed, HE TOOK OUT TWO PENCE, AND GAVE THEM TO THE HOST, AND SAID UNTO HIM, TAKE CARE OF HIM; AND WHATSOEVER THOU SPENDEST MORE, WHEN I COME AGAIN, I WILL REPAY THEE. Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. THEN SAID JESUS UNTO HIM, GO, AND DO THOU LIKEWISE”.
*Luke 18: 9-14 “And he spake this parable unto certain which TRUSTED IN THEMSELVES THAT THEY WERE RIGHTEOUS, AND DESPISED OTHERS: TWO MEN WENT UP INTO THE TEMPLE TO PRAY; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: FOR EVERY ONE THAT EXALTETH HIMSELF SHALL BE ABASED; and HE THAT HUMBLETH HIMSELF SHALL BE EXALTED”.
*1 Timothy 6:10 FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL: which while some coveted after, THEY HAVE ERRED FROM THE FAITH, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows”.
Our New High Priest planned a more perfect way!
*Hebrews 9:11 “But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by A GREATER AND MORE PERFECT TABERNACLE, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building”.
*Matt 25:34-46 “Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU, INASMUCH AS YE HAVE DONE IT UNTO ONE OF THE LEAST OF THESE MY BRETHREN, YE HAVE DONE IT UNTO ME. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, INASMUCH AS YE DID IT NOT TO ONE OF THE LEAST OF THESE, YE DID IT NOT TO ME. AND THESE SHALL GO AWAY INTO EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT: but the righteous into life eternal”.
*Luke 6:38 “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again”.
Jesus sent his Disciples with NO money!
*Mark 6:7-9 “And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits; And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, NO BREAD, NO MONEY IN THEIR PURSE: But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats”.
*Matt 10:8 “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: FREELY YE HAVE RECEIVED, FREELY GIVE”.
Jesus did NOT have any money!
*Matt 17:27 “Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee”.
God chooses the poor!
*Matthew 19:21-22” Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me”. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions”.
*James 2:5 “Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
*Matt 6:24 “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon”.

When the Spirit of God dwells in you through your obedience to HIS word Acts 5:32 then YOU ARE THE TEMPLE of God, 1 John 4:6!
*1 Cor 3:16-17 “Know ye not that YE ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD, and that THE SPIRIT OF GOD DWELLETH IN YOU? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are”.
*2 Corinthians 6:10 “As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; AS POOR, YET MAKING MANY RICH; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things”.
*2 Corinthians 8:9 “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich”.
Christ’s true ministers 2 Cor 3:6 serve the people for free 2 Peter 1:7-8, without respect of persons.
*Luke 18:25 “For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, THAN FOR A RICH MAN TO ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD”.
